記者李鴻典／台北報導針對媒體報導指出，在國民黨總統初選民調階段，國民黨主席朱立倫請假3週，是否是技術性迴避敏感時刻一事，國民黨中央表示，這是因為朱立倫要到新北市議會備詢。
國民黨文傳會副主委、發言人楊偉中表示，朱主席請假的原因，是由於新北市議會排定6月3日至6月17日進行施政總質詢，基於對議會質詢權的尊重，身兼新北市長的朱主席必須到場備詢，故向中常會請假3次，並無媒體揣測迴避一事。
楊偉中並指出，若主席請假期間，中常會有重要議案務需主席親自處理，屆時將會再協調行程。
